Last week I managed to go 10-5 and the week before I went 10-4, in my NFL Week 4 Picks, I plan on going, um, 10-3? Hey, there’s only 13 games this week.
Anyways, below are my NFL Week 4 Picks.
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers: My pick – Panthers
Don’t get me wrong, I like Falcon’s RB Michael Turner but no matter how good he is, the team can only rely on him so much. A good example would be Adrian Peterson with the Vikings. Plus, the Panthers lost last week and I felt they should have won so this week, since they’re at home, I’m going with them.
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals: My pick – Bengals
The battle of the winless teams begins! The Browns had higher expectations this year from just about everybody including myself but honestly, their offensive chemistry just hasn’t been there. On the other hand, the Bengals have been just as bad but they looked a lot better last week against the defending NFL Champs, NY Giants. This has to be a coin-toss and that’s exactly what I did… so Bengals it is!
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars: My pick – Jaguars.
The Jaguars surprised me last week against the Colts in the last seconds but through all four quarters, did you see Jones-Drew and Taylor run up and down the Colts defense? I think they will continue that against the Texans this week.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs: My pick – Broncos
I shouldn’t even have to say who is going to win this game. Until the Chiefs get a good or even decent QB, they’re not going to win many games. Plus, the Cutler and Marshall duo is just crazy!
San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints: My pick – Saints
I like Frank Gore but that’s their main threat. On the other hand, the Saints have no true number 1 WR playing (Colston is still out) and they still manage to get 400+ yards passing. I’m going with the Saints because you can’t deny their explosive offense. Plus, I have Brees and Bush in one of my fantasy leagues and I need them to do good!
Arizona Cardinals at NY Jets: My pick – Cardinals
Am I the only one that thinks the Favre hype was all it was? Just hype. They aren’t going to make the playoffs, come on, seriously? They’re better than last year but even that’s not saying much. The Cardinals on the other hand are a different team now that Warner is their clear-cut QB so I’m going with the better of the two former-MVP’s.
Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Bucs: My pick – Packers
I think both of these teams are good but the Packers are the better team. Don’t get me wrong, I knew they were going to get brought back down to reality when they played the Cowboys but they’re still a good team. The Bucs have been a good surprise as well but I think Rodgers and the Packers will bounce back from their Cowboys lost.
Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans: My pick – Titans
Until the Vikings proves to me that they have a reliable QB then I have to go with the opposite team. I like RB Peterson but he can only carry your team to a certain point. Plus, I like the 1-2 punch of rookie RB Chris Johnson with Lendale White.
San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders: My pick – Chargers
After heartbreaking losses in their first two games, the Chargers just lit up the scoreboard against the Jets and they’ll continue to do that against the Raiders. This is obviously a no-brainer pick!
Buffalo Bills at St. Louis Rams: My pick – Bills
The Rams just look awful and they just continue to prove to the league they’re one of the worst teams, if not the worst! On the other hand, Bills are a surprisingly good team this year with a better defense.
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys: My pick – Cowboys
It’s going to be rare if I pick a team against the Cowboys. But the Cowboys beat the Packers last week and they just continue to prove to everybody they’re the team to beat in the NFC and maybe the NFL since Tom Brady is out for the season with the Pats.
Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears: My pick – Eagles
First, I like rookie RB Matt Forte with the Bears and I think they have a very good chance of winning this game. But if Westbrook plays then the Eagles will win. I had to pick the Eagles either way because they’re probably the second best NFC team if everyone is healthy.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers: My pick – Steelers
Last week these two teams were completely different. The Ravens had a great offense with commanding win but then again, they played the Browns so that’s nothing to brag about. The Steelers looked horrible last week but they played a good Eagles team. But I’m going to pick the Steelers to bounce back this week.
So far this year I’ve been 20-9 and I should have been 23-6 but what’s in the past is in the past. I also didn’t get a chance to do the NFL Week 1 picks that’s why my record is lower. Anyways, those are my picks for this week!
