NFL Week 3 Picks
I have been doing pretty great with my NFL picks that I’m going to continue. Last week with my “NFL Week 2 Picks” I managed to go 10-4 with my picks and quite frankly, it should have been 13-1. The Broncos shouldn’t have won against the Chargers but the referees made a terrible call that literally cost the Charges the game. I mean, it was clearly a fumble on Jay Cutler’s behalf but the refs blew the whistle. BS!
Also, the Redskins shouldn’t have won but they had a lucky comeback. Lastly, the Bills managed to win in the final two minutes which shouldn’t have happened.
Anyways, here are my NFL Week 3 Picks. Hope you guys learn something!
Kansas City Chiefs at Atlanta Falcons: My pick – Falcons
This is a coin toss because both teams aren’t that great but I feel the Falcons will bounce back from last weeks loss to the Bucs. Plus, the Chiefs still have no real quarterback so they’re at a slight disadvantage.
Oakland Raiders at Buffalo Bills: My pick – Bills
Last week I picked the Raiders to upset the Chiefs but they barely did and the only reason why they were close is because of McFadden. Russell was horrible and I doubt he can do good against the Bills who have been playing great and they’re 2-0 to start the season!
Tampa Bay Bucs at Chicago Bears: My pick – Bucs
This one was hard to pick because both have good defenses but it comes down to who has the better offense. I have to lean towards the Bucs because the Bears just haven’t proved to me that their QB is good enough to win for them.
Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings: My pick – Panthers
If you can manage to beat two good teams (Chargers and Bears) without your best player and then get him back, then that has to equal a win. Plus, the Vikings secondary has been shaky and I doubt they can keep up with Steve Smith. Also, Adrian Peterson can run the ball great but eventually if he’s stopped, they have to pass it. And believe me, they passing game is pretty bad.
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots: My pick – Patriots
No Tom Brady, well, this is still a no-brainer pick. The Dolphins just can’t compete with a good team even if they don’t have their Pro Bowl QB.
Cincinnati Bengals at New York Giants: My pick – Giants
Bengals just looks terrible and now they’re going to play against the NFL defending champions whom have been stellar on their way to 2-0.
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans: My pick – Titans
My gut feeling is to go with the Texans because I like how their offense is and the fact that their week 2 game was canceled because of Hurricane Ike so all their players are extra rested. But rookie RB Chris Johnson is too good for their defense and with Kerry Collins taking over for Vince Young at QB, I think they have a great mix.
Arizona Cardinals at Washington Redskins: My pick – Cardinals
Redskins got lucky against the Saints last week but they won’t be this week against Kurt Warner and the Cardinals. I say if Kurt Warner starts, he’s probably in the top 5 QB’s in the league so you can’t go wrong with that. I mean, did you see how great he played in the first two weeks?!
New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos: My pick – Broncos
The Saints had a heartbreaker last week and the Broncos were the ones breaking hearts. But the Broncos offense looks just too good. And with Brandon Marshall back (18 catches in last weeks game) it makes their passing offense even more dangerous. Plus, the Saints are still missing their top WR Marcus Colston.
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers: My pick – 49ers
I picked the 49ers to beat the Seahawks last week and they didn’t let me down. This week I’ll pick them again because I think Frank Gore will run up and down the Lions weak defense who has given up 82 combined points in the first two weeks. If you can’t stop anyone on defense, I don’t care how good and talented your offense is, you won’t win.
St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks: My pick – Seahawks
I have a feeling I should pick the Rams because their talent is there but they just can’t win, and eventually they’re going to get one, right? But on the other hand, the Seahawks managed to score 30 points in last weeks loss and they did it with their top four WRs out with injuries. That’s actually pretty impressive.
Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens: My pick – Browns
The Ravens have a good defense but their offense is iffy. The Browns are so talented that I doubt they will start the season 0-3. I mean, the Ravens can’t compare to the Browns’ first two opponents (Cowboys and Steelers).
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts: My pick – Colts
Jaguars have let me down and their offense just continues to struggle. The Colts have looked pretty bad on offense as well but I doubt that will happen for the third straight week. I mean, Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Joseph Addai, Marvin Harrison and now Gonzalez… that talent won’t be held back!
Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles: My pick – Eagles
As a Cowboys fan, I don’t want the Eagles to win but they looked pretty damn good in the first two weeks. And if you can go toe to toe with the Cowboys all the way to the end, you have a shot at beating any team… well, except for the Cowboys.
Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers: My pick – Cowboys
This is not a biased opinion but the Cowboys are the team to beat. The Packers and Aaron Rodgers has impressed me a lot but will he really continue that success against the Cowboys? I think this game will be a shoot out sort of like the Eagles and Cowboys game from last week.
New York Jets at San Diego Chargers: My Pick – Chargers
Sorry Brett, your team just isn’t as good as you think. The Chargers are 0-2 against back to back heartbreakers and it doesn’t get worse than last weeks heartbreaker against the Broncos. I don’t think the Chargers will go 0-3.
There you have it, those are my picks. If I continue to do great on my picks, I might have to charge you guys! Lol!
