East-West Shrine Game, the annual post-season college football all-star game that has been played every January since 1925 this year has been started this week. The primary purpose of the East-West Shrine Game is to raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children. The East-West Shrine Game it self has attracted some of the mid-round prospects in the nation. East-West Shrine Game will be the right time and place for NFL scouts to take notes on the entire talents of the All-Stars make especially on the week long practices.
The game that was held yesterday has shown a pretty solid game. With most of the NFL scouts and evaluators have already gone, the game is probably more important to the players. The conspicuous talents at the east roster are shown by the Northeastern TE Brian Mandebille who has done a good job catching the ball and get clean release most of the time. There is also Kentucky LB Johnny Williams who moves well for his size and gets good depth on his drops. The other talents are Georgia LB Dannel Ellerbe, Cincinnati DB Brandon Underwood, Rutgers S Courtney Greene and Florida State K/P Graham Gano.
For the West Roster, you will see arm strength of Fresno State QB Tom Brandstater and Texas A&M QB Stephen McGee who made good reads and showed the ability to run with the ball even though he has to pull it down. The other tlents are including Colorado State RB Gartrell Johnson, California LB Anthony Felder, USC LB Kaluka Maiyala, Hawaii CB Ryan Mourton and USC CB Cary Harris.
