Yup, I said it. Alex Rodriguez career stats are almost worthless now and all that big talk about him breaking Barry Bonds’ career homeruns to take over the All-Time Homerun Title is worthless as well. Because even if he does happen to break the record, he cheated to get there so he’ll always and forever have that little asterisk next to his name that says “most homeruns BUT… cheated to get there.”
Okay, it’s understandable that he only took steroids while he was with the Texas Rangers but you also have to look at it like this, he had his career years with them, he had also had the most homeruns in one season with them. Coincidence, I think not!
I mean, he hit over 150 homeruns in the three years he was with the Rangers, also, in which he used performance enhancing drugs. And all of a sudden, he recently became the youngest player to hit 500 career homeruns which that should be wiped out too.
Now I like to always mention that Ken Griffey was the youngest to hit 500 and he still has a good clean record with him. He’s a true role model and A-Fraud continues to disappoint his fans. And you wonder why Yankees fans don’t like him.
Alex Rodriguez career stats worthless? What do you think?
