Survivor: Tocantins Winner – Season 18 of Survivor has been pretty exciting and intense! On Sunday evening the season finale of Survivor: Tocantins aired revealing the winner!! The 18th edition of the CBS castaway competition was set in the rugged interior of Brazil. Sixteen players came together at this location from all over the country and now, after numerous eliminations, they are back. The entire cast of contestants joined host Jeff Probst in a reunion before finding out who would be the million dollar winner. As you may or may not know it came down to two players and those two players were: Stephen and JT. For the second time in Survivor history the winner won by unanimous jury vote!! In the showdown between James Thomas Jr., and Stephen Fishbach only one castaway prevailed as the 2009 winner of Survivor. Apparently these two have been allies from day. In this instance the “good guy” actually won. Once the tribe had spoken 24 year old JT Jr. was named Survivor. Thomas operates a cattle-ranching business back in Samson, Alabama. This moment brought the country boy to tears. He took a large portion of the votes in the last Tribal Council. JT, wasn’t even the most brilliant manipulator, but he was charming and very socially adept which is key to this game. Not only was he socially adept but also highly athletic. Mr. Thomas won the three final individual immunity challenges and was quite deserving of them. James Thomas Jr. was able to outwit, outplay and outlast his rival New York corporate consultant Stephen Fishbach. Jt was also named the fan-favorite allowing him to take home an extra $100,000. So not only did he get a million but a “little tip” to go along with it.

As for next season, Samoa is the location for Season 19 of Survivor.
