A few Sundays ago R&B/pop singer Chris Brown was arrested by the LA police for allegedly assaulting girlfriend and R&B singer Rihanna. You can now see the evidence of her attack by clicking on the link below. The two were leaving a Grammy Party on Feb. 8th hosted by Clive Davis when they got into the altercation. This may not have been the first time Brown has hit his fellow celeb girlfriend. Brown turned himself in, but prosecutors are still requesting more information before pressing charges on the 19 year old.
The 19 year old Grammy nominee released a statement over the weekend expressing how sorry he was and that he was seeking counsel from family and his pastor. It’s believed that Brown came from home where there was some domestic violence. Rihanna hasn’t released a statement as of yet and continues to lay low since the fiasco. It’s too bad she has to celebrate her 21st birthday with bruises and marks all over on her face.
Some sources have said that the fight, which lead to domestic violence, occurred because Rihanna gave Chris Brown herpes. This is certainly not definite, but I’ve also heard that Chris Brown was supposedly flirting with British singer Leona Lewis causing Rihanna to fly into a rage. According to an anonymous source Brown’s conversation was innocent, but it set his girlfriend off.
Rihanna cancelled her concert in Malaysia the following week which was part of her “Disturbia” tour. It’s indefinite what move she will make next. Meanwhile, Chris Brown suffers from some suspended endorsement deals, one being with Wrigley. Stations across the country have even ceased playing his songs.
