Richard Wright, who was Pink Floyd’s keyboard player died on Monday at the age of 65 from cancer.
Richard Wright was a founding member of the popular rock group, Pink Floyd. He was battling cancer for quite sometime now. He passed away after a long fought battle in his home in Britain.
All this information was given from Pink Floyd’s spokesman, Doug Wright, who is not related to Richard in any way. He also said that Richard Wright’s family did not want to give out the details about his death.
The group Pink Floyd, which also included members Roger Waters and Nick Mason, formed in the mid 1960s and managed to be such a successful jazz-infused rock band that sold multi-million albums.
The last time the group played together was in 2005 when Wright, Waters, Mason and Gilmour reunited for a charity event. That was the first time they played together in the past two decades.
Our condolences goes out to the Wright family.
May you rest in peace, Richard Wright. You will be missed!
