I will start posting NFL picks each week. I know I missed the first week so I will be starting with my NFL Week 2 picks.
Before I get into all my picks, I am a big sports fan and I do pretty good at picking NFL games. Though, sometimes I let my bias opinion get in the way especially since I’m a Dallas Cowboys fan. But anyways, I will do a small break down on the reason why I picked these teams as well so it’s not totally random.
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers: My pick – Panthers.
I know the Bears looked good last week but then again, they were playing a banged up Colts team. When most of the key star players aren’t 100 percent, of course your chances of winning increases… a lot. Plus, Carolina looked great last week and beat a Chargers team that is said to be one of the teams to beat in the AFC. Plus, Carolina was doing it all without their best player, WR Steve Smith.
Tennessee Titans at Cincinatti Bengals: My pick – Titans.
Honestly, there shouldn’t even be a reason behind this one. Yes, Titans starting quarterback Vince Young is out with an injury but the Bengals just aren’t good. Their best aspect is their offense and when you less than 100 yards passing with all your star players in, there’s a problem.
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions: My pick – Packers.
Similar to the Titan and Bengals game, there shouldn’t be a reason behind this pick. For anyone who doubted the Packers from winning without Favre, well, that question was answered last week with Rodgers beat up a pretty good Vikings team. Plus, did you see how many yards the Lions defense gave up last week?!
Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars: My pick – Jaguars.
I actually have money on this game but it’s pretty much a coin toss. The Bills have improved drastically this offseason in their defense but the Jaguars have a great ground game. Plus, I think they’re bounce back from last weeks loss.
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: My pick – Raiders.
I know you guys all think I’m crazy for picking the Raiders but I’m going to take a shot with them against the Chiefs. The Raiders offense looked decent last week, unfortunately, their defense must’ve been on the bench because they couldn’t stop the Broncos. But if you noticed, their pass defense sucked but the Chiefs don’t really have a QB to take advantage of the situation.
Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings: My pick – Colts.
I know you guys saw last week when the Colts got beat by the Bears, well, did you see the Vikings game? The Colts’ offense is too good to lose back to back games against the NFC North teams.
NY Giants at St. Louis Rams: My Pick – Giants.
As much as I dislike the Giants, the Super Bowl champs are playing arguably the worst team in the NFL. Not much to say after that!
New Orlean Saints at Washington Redskins: My pick – Saints.
Even without their number 1 wide receiver, Marcus Colston, their offense is just too potent. The Redskins defense actually isn’t bad but then again, if you can’t score then you can’t win either. And their offense looked pretty bad last week.
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks: My pick – 49ers.
Yes, I said it. The 49ers! Their offense is better and I feel Frank Gore is going to run up and down the Seahawks defense. Oh, and the top four Seahawks wide receivers are all injured and not playing. All four! Hasselbeck has no one to throw it to and their run game is a little banged up as well.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Bucs: My pick – Falcons.
I’m going with the underdogs on this one. I’m going to say Michael Turner will have a big game and show everyone his week one game wasn’t just a fluke.
Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals: My pick – Cardinals.
As long as Kurt Warner is the Cardinals QB then their offense is just that much better. Plus, the Dolphins are just bad. And not bad in a good way!
San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos: My pick – Chargers.
The Chargers had a heart breaker last week in the last few seconds against the Panthers so I think they will bounce back this week. And plus, the Broncos defense didn’t look too good against a bad team (Raiders), I wonder how they will match up against a good one.
New England Patriotss at NY Jets: My pick – Patriots.
I think everyone is sleeping on Tom Brady’s backup, Cassel. And on the other hand, giving Brett Favre too much credit against a good Pats team… even without Brady. This will probably be a close game but Brett Favre is ain’t enough.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns: My pick – Steelers.
This is simple. Steelers = good. Browns = bad against good teams.
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys: My pick – Cowboys.
Even without a bias opinion, I’d still pick the Cowboys. I’m a Cowboys fan but the Cowboys are the team to beat in the NFC.
Lastly, Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans: My pick – Ravens.
The Ravens defense will be too much for the Texans. They have a good offense but I don’t think they have enough in their tank to last four quarters against the Ravens D.
