If you’re like me and you love fossils and history then you will love this story. I was reading in Newsweek that scientists in Columbia were digging in an open pit coal mine and came across THE biggest snake ever recorded. This baby spans 42 feet long, weighs more than a buffalo, and is longer than a city bus. The snake weighed a total of 2500 pounds. WOW, just think about that for a moment. Do you realize how HUGE that thing must have been? Thankfully the snake is extinct because it would have no problems munching down a live human. Back in its day it had a steady diet of crocodiles and really had no limits to what it could east since it was so big.

Scientists were able to deduce that the snake lived in a very warm environment, Likely a jungle environment based on its size. Since its 42 feet long it has shattered the word record for the longest snake ever found. I know people who are terrified of snakes that must be happy this snake is dead. I know I hate and am terrified of spiders so I can understand. So there you have it folks!
