Nate Robinson has surprised all. The 5-foot-9-inch player, Nate Robinson, the New York Knicks guard, has shown that height is no bar in winning a slam dunk title. The diminutive star has won this year’s NBA All-star Slam Dunk title. However, this is not the first time that he has won such a title. Nate Robinson had won the award in 2006 as well. Someone with the height of mere 5-feet-9-inches is not regarded tall enough among the NBA players of soaring heights.
Nate Robinson, for that matter, was not regarded a possible winner from the beginning. In fact, his earlier victory in the slam dunk game in 2006 NBA had been taken by many as a chance win rather than a deserving victory. But it is his superb agility and sharp skills that helped him to achieve the prestigious title yet again. Nate Robinson’s grand victory has also shattered the age-old myth that the NBA is meant only for the abnormally tall people, most of whose heights almost touch the 7-foot mark.
Wonder boy Nate Robinson won the award beating the defending champion Dwight Howard of Orlando this time. Nate Robinson used Dwight Howard as a prop in the final round of the game and sprang over the 6-foot-11 center in his winning dunk.
