President Barack Obama has a vast amount of experience regarding the importance and necessity of the protection of civil rights in USA. During his early career days, he had indulged in strengthening the roots and alleviating the anomaly of civil rights as a civil rights attorney. Since the days of election, Obama displayed an earnest desire to promote economic opportunity, improve the country’s education and health system and demanding protection for the right to vote. Each of these causes accrues towards the proper sponsoring of civil rights.
For combating discrimination in the field of employment, Obama teams up with the Vice-President Biden to successfully overturn the Supreme Court’s recent ruling. This will enable an easy passage for the Fair Pay Act. The other acts on the pipe-line that includes the Employment Non-Discrimination Act can take care of the discrimination meted out on grounds of sexual orientation or gender expression.
There is also an attempt to end Racial profiling with the help of the lawyers in the Federal law enforcement agencies. Measures will be taken through the provision of certain federal incentives for successful prohibition of the practice.
The Hate Crime Statutes shall also be overhauled. The president plans to bring the attorneys and the lawyers together effectively build the federal hate crime legislation through the passing of the Matthew Shepard Act.
