Let’s get straight to the point and go right to my Golden Globe predictions 2009 and when I guess right on a majority of them, I’m sure you’ll start listening to all my picks, including sports.
Okay, below are my personal Golden Globe predictions for 2009:
Film
BEST MOTION PICTURE, DRAMA
Even with Brad Pitt getting a lot of hype for his role in The Curious case of Benjamin Button, I think I’m going to have to pick Slumdog Millionaire, especially the fact that a lot of experts are choosing that as the best overall movie for the past year.
BEST MOTION PICTURE, COMEDY
My pick is Burn After Reading even though the rest of the nominated movies are pretty damn good, at least for being voted as the winners.
ACTOR, DRAMA
Again, I think Brad Pitt isn’t going to win this one, I think it’s going to have to go to Sean Penn for his role in Milk. But then again, I could be wrong.
ACTRESS, DRAMA
I want to pick Angelina Jolie but I think it’s going to probably go to Meryl Streep for her role in Doubt.
ACTOR, COMEDY OR MUSICAL
No question about it, I’m going with James Franco in his role in Pineapple Express, even though, I think it’s going to be tough against his competition.
ACTRESS, COMEDY OR MUSICAL
Eh, Frances McDormand… sure, why not! I think her role in Burn After Reading was pretty funny.
SUPPORTING ACTOR
I want to pick Robert Downey Jr in his role in Tropic Thunder, or even Tom Cruises’ part in it but I will have to go with the late Heath Ledger as the Joker in The Dark Knight. R.I.P.
SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Penelope Cruz in Vicky Cristina Barcelona… nope, no explanation on this one.
DIRECTOR
Danny Boyle for Slumdog Millionaire. Hey, if this movie is going to win the best motion picture, the credit has to go to the director.
SCREENPLAY
Eric Roth for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
We will have the rest of the list posted shortly…
