I’m sure you guys are aware that Chinese New Year 2009 is the year of the Ox. Matter of fact, I’d like to say Happy Chinese New Year to everyone that celebreates it because it is officially today!
In 2009, it is the year of the Ox. Each year it rotates between 12 different animals and once they go through those 12 it simply repeats all over again.
I believe that the Chinese New Year festivities begin today and runs for 15 days through February 9th which would include various events that include firecrackers bursting, dragon dancing and the best part of all, you eat delicious foods!
My favorite has to be Dim Sum but I’m sure everyone has their own preference for it.
People that was born in the year of the Ox is said to have these following traits and characteristics:
Leadership qualities, dependable, great organizers, loyal, patient as well as strong and responsible. They are also some of the best people one can have as colleagues in the work place as they are believed to posses strong work ethics and display their creative side as well, especially when it comes to decorating their home.
But anyways, is there anything in particular that you guys do to celebrate Chinese New Years? Matter of fact, what year were you born and what animal represents you?
I’m a dog… but not in a bad way.
