American Idol Top 2 Finalists Announced – Last night was the night to find out the top 2 finalists of American Idol Season 8. In Episode 38 three young men learned of their fate. Ryan Seacrest shares with us that 88 million votes were tallied!! That’s a lot! A special guest hit the stage also! Season 6 Idol Champion Jordin Sparks performed her new song “Battlefield” and mentioned “Idol hopefuls, take note: This is how you do it.” The young singer has some powerful vocals and she is one of our finalists. So it was finally time to reveal the 2 singers who would go on as finalists and the options were: Kris, Danny & Adam.

The first person who was announced as a final competitor was……Kris!! Randy proceeds to bow as Paula’s mouth dropped! Kris gave a great couple of performances Monday night and deserves to go on. This doesn’t mean that all 3 aren’t worthy of being finalists, but only 2 can go on so the next person to receive good news was…………Adam!! As he safely went to the couch Simon called both Adam’s performance and Simon’s song selection “brilliant”. Danny is out and must sing his farewell song. One reaction was seen when judge Kara mouths “Oh my god.” We have our two American Idol finalists: Adam Lambert & Kris Allen. I’m so glad Adam made it. It really shouldn’t be any other way!
