What is the main color of the Google’s homepage? Google’s homepage is one of the most popular page on the world, and no one can deny this. Back in the past, many people also discussed about Google’s website interface, many researches considering that black color would save lot’s of energy consumption made by the monitors. Until now Google is still white, and I think it will still be the same on many coming years.

However the super giant search engine changed to black yesterday. Didn’t see it? Well, you would if you lived in Israel. Yesterday, Israel Branch of Google turned of the light as their participation on fighting worldwide energy conservation and tries to convince the residents of the country to turn off their lights for one hour. Yeah on Israel only, but no tear is needed, I have the screenshot of Google in Black yesterday, see it here

Even many of you will probably think Black looks good on Google, but seems they will not permanently keep the color, so white will still on our monitors on the coming future.

“We’re committed to reducing the effects of climate change by promoting energy efficiency, but current evidence doesn’t suggest that a permanent change to a black background would be beneficial to either the environment or our users”

So if you really want to see the black color on your favorite search engine, you can turn off your lights for at least 1 hour per day, and perhaps it will convince Google to permanently switch the color
