WinningTheWeb.Com is evil!
By Jacky Supit • Dec 5th, 2007 • Category: blogging tips - blogging tricksWinningTheWeb.com is running a cool contest now, it is a subscribe to win contest with a really cool prize, $400 JohnChow.Com reviewMe review.
JohnChow is one of the biggest blog on the net, with more then 14,000 feed readers, and more then 300,000 pageviews monthly, this can assure that you will get a really lot of attention if you win this prize.
How does it work?
For the next 2 weeks, WTB will display a phrase or words, adding a letter at a time in 11 next posts. These letters of course will appear on feed reader only. That’s why you have to subscribe to their feed.
Once all the 11 letters unscrambled, you can guess the secret words/phrase, and if you are the first to guess the correct answer, you win! that simple.
How to join?
1. Basically this is a subscribe to win contest, so first you have to subscribe to their blog feed.
2. For the next 2 weeks, look at the bottom of the posts, you will see a letter a time. Remember, this will appears on feed reader only.
3. Unscramble the 11 letters and be the first to figure out the correct word/phrase.
4. Submit your guess to the contest page here. You can only submit one guess only, so make sure that you’re sure with your guess.
When this contest finish?
Friday, December 21, 2007.
Any Hints? Clues? or something?
Yes, the secret code is made up of 2 words (11 letters total) and is a ‘thing’. WINNING THE WEB? no, it’s 13 letters, and 3 words. it shouldn’t be that easy.
How to cheat?
WTB lock their participants with their IP Address and Web/Blog URL. One entry per participant. So I think if you have more then 1 guess, you can submit all of it with different blogs and different IPAddress. Probably it’s time to use dial up connections or access with different proxies
Winning The Web is evil?
No they’re not, In fact they are really cool by giving you this opportunity to win $400 prize. It’s just my trick to get you here
WTB is so smart came with this idea. I am sure this contest will get a lot of buzz. See it your self, this contest made it to JohnChow.Com, Shoemoney.com and JackBook.Com on the same day
. I believe also this contest will get a lot of participants. Being smart I am, I create this post and send them trackback, so my site will be listed on the trackback list under the comment list. As for now, they are still only about 8 comments and 1 trackback (from johnchow.com) when I created this post, many people should see this post title on the trackback, and click it.
So? what are you waiting for? Join the contest, and if you won it, don’t forget to mention that you joined after you read this post ![]()
