Widgetbucks News! International CPM Ads have been started!
About 5 minutes ago I received an email from Widgetbucks, saying that now they have sucessfuly launched International CPM Ads on their widgets. This means now we should be able to make money with their widgets even if our visitors were not coming from North America.
Still remember about their ridiculous decision last time when they said they won’t pay traffic from non North America? Seems now they have finally had some programmers to tweak their codes. Here is on their email
Our system will do the geo-location for you, determining where the visitor is coming from. Then we’ll either show the regular pay-per-click widget (to visitors from the U.S. and Canada) or show an ad that pays per impression (to visitors from other countries).
Hopefully their new system really can do the geo-location for us, it won’t be funny if they miss any IP-Address on their database.
What do you think about it guys? Even I doubt about it, but I think there is nothing to lose to give them a chance for a month. So from now until the next month, you will see a widgetbucks widget on the sidebar. hope you don’t mind with this, let’s put this as a test case, if this successful, then you should join them to make money with their widgets. But if it’s failed, then ok, at least I will have a reason to ban Widgetbucks from the site
For now, I won’t recommend them to you, but if you are interested to test them out, you can join them here, and be my affiliate.
Oh and here is their email, in case you want to read it.
Dear WidgetBucks Publishers,
As mentioned in our email at the end of November, today we have successfully launched International CPM ads to be included in our Widgets.
We are now serving CPM ads to the non-U.S./Canada traffic. This will give you revenue, per impression, for your site visitors who come from other countries. This is designed to help publishers who have a blend of traffic from a variety of countries.
Our system will do the geo-location for you, determining where the visitor is coming from. Then we’ll either show the regular pay-per-click widget (to visitors from the U.S. and Canada) or show an ad that pays per impression (to visitors from other countries).
To get started, you will need to log into your WidgetBucks account and re-copy the Widget code under “My Widgets”. After you replace the code on your site, the widget will update ad types automatically.
We’re also proud to mention that we’ve been selected as a finalist for the Open Web Awards. We invite you to visit the site and vote for WidgetBucks!
If you have any questions about the launch of International CPM ads, please contact us at http://support.mpire.com
Happy earning!
The WidgetBucks Team
Update:
So it is not an animation anymore? I guess because I am not North American, so I see their widget turn to be a static images instead of an animation like they used to be. If you are seeing their widgetbucks as an animation, please tell me on the comment below, and what country are you from? thanks
