Apple rocks at marketing—I think that’s something fanboys and haters can both agree with. Mason from SmallFuel has listed some big points about Apple Marketing Strategy, include How well Apple set their website, promote their iPhone, taking care their customers, even their television advertising.

apple marketing tips

1. Appereance, layout, design.

Apple always give their products a pretty appeareance. What about yours? Your templates? themes?

Here on JackBook.Com, I have mentioned before that I am going to give this site a new look, it supposed to be in the middle of this December, but unfortunately, being so busy I had been lately, I think I will delay it until next week.

2. Big Photos.

Mason took the Apple website as an example. It’s true, Apple website rich with big photos. Good point, and we have been doing that on this site. So we have been in a good direction then :)

3. Keep your message simple.

I don’t know, with my simple english, I think all of my messages have been simple enough. Or because my english is too simple, that makes my messages so dificult to understand? lol

What about you?

4. Create a unique customer experience, so Let your fans do the selling, and let media do the talking.

I think this is one of the most important point we should put more attention. Everyday I get  about 10 to 20 new backlinks from people out there who make a post about this site. Yea most of them are linking to my blogger template, but I have also about 1 or 2 new backlinks to my regular posts.

That is what Apple does! They let people who use their products to tell their own experience on using Apple. That  means Apple create such good and high quality products too, that’s why they got many people give them a positive story.

And Mason give you good example there. How many of you know that Nokia, Sony Ericson etc have better cellular phone with a better music player and a better internet browser in it? but none of them as popular as Apple iPhone. not even close.

5. Get a charismatic SEO and Always stay one step ahead.

Well I think there are many great blogs have been so popular with their owner such as John Chow, Shoemoney, Problogger etc.

Even it needs a long time, hard works, and patiences, eventually we all should be there someday :)

I think there is one more important point that Mason forget to put on the list, it is

6. Catchy Names.

You know what I am talking about? Look at their products names: iPod, iPhone, iMac etc. Aren’t all that perfect? all their products has such an easy to remember and so catchy name. Compare it with others gadgets names.

I think we can apply it on our products, site / blog name,  or even on our mail. Before choosing your blog name, think your readers first. How easy they can remember your blog name. If your orientation is for international audience, then think about your non english people too. How easy they can remember and how easy they can type your blog name or domain name.

One mistake I did about this is probably when I choose my email address. lifewg@gmail.com doesn’t sound so catchy for most people. So I think for you didn’t know yet about what my email referring to, lifewg is referring to Life With Google, that was my old blogspot name. Now you must remember my email address if you want to paypal me

No matter how great John Chow, Shoemoney, Problogger and other A-listed bloggers, they all started like us - from zero.

Knowledge is very important and don’t become big or thick headed when you’ve gained some recognitions I’m sure you’ll be more liked if you stay humble like our friend here, Mr. JackBook.

Greetings and lotta loves from Malaysia.
