By Jacky Supit • Oct 30th, 2007 • Category: blogging tips - blogging tricksSince the last eruption of Google Pagerank on the last update, many blogger now being worry about their pagerank being downgraded.
We don’t need to worry about it if we know how to treat it right. Google Pagerank is a TrustMeter (don’t need to find on your dictionary, I just named it) to calculate how they trust our site.
If you are reading this because you are worry about being slapped by Google Pagerank Update, and want to learn to avoid it, Congratulation! It means you have something to take care. You are on the right place. Keep reading this, we will learn the tips and trick to take care of our Pagerank.
So how we can keep our Pagerank save? A theory which has been proven right say that too many useless links can be harmful to your site. There we should really maintain our site to keep clean from those useless links.
How we know that our site has a useless link or not? Let me introduce you to a service named Useless Links Checker.
Useless Links Checker
This service is helping your site to analyze and identify if your site has useless links by scanning your sites pages. This service is free, and to use it is just so easy.
First go to their site on here, then type your site url on the textbox provided, and press Enter to begin the analizing.
After few second, you will see the result like this,

That is the Useless links list of this site. Of course you know what should do with those links. Go try with your own sites. If you see a list of Useless Links, then you have to manipulate them so it can be useful.
On the screenshot above, that was when I checked my site. There I just realize, of course my feed links are also useless. So I added rel=”nofollow” to the feed links.
If you don’t want to add rel=”nofollow” or remove those links, then probably re-arrange and split them so not grouped into one spot would be the best solution. Why? so it doesn’t look like a group of paid links.
After you finish re-arrange them, you can try to scan your site again with the service until you have your site clean of any useless links.
If Google Pagerank still has love for you, take care of it!

Hi Zhu,
congrats. your site is worth that pagerank.
nice
What can get PR1??
I’m not worried about my PR. Not really border what is PR though. I’m just concern and reaaallly want to know, How to increase traffic to my blog

hey, if your pagerank is higher, then your position on google search engine should be higher also rite? that will gives people from search engine a more change to see your site on their search result.
if you have more visibility on search engine, then your traffic should automatically increase rite?
My sites get not PR for now even if i have them more that 1 month.
Why?
Google updates their pagerank in their own period. but it usually about once per 4 months.
if your site is only about 1 month age, then it is normal to have PR0.
this site got PR5 after 4 months.
thanks
