(If you are not a Wordpress User, this post will probably not so useful for you, but who knows you’re going to move to wordpress someday
)
It’s been 2 weeks since I upgraded this blog to Wordpress 2.5.1 from the previous version. There are some good and bad things I have experienced. Below is the list of the bad things I have met on this 2 weeks
- The Ajax Feature of The Better Comment Manager fails. It doesn’t work anymore if you want to mark a comment as spam. But it’s still work on replying them
- Wordpress in total confusion when saving or publishing a post. Instead of redirect the browser to the previous page, Now Wordpress is still on the post editing page. Is that bad? Hm.. I don’t know but come on, we have already used to where Wordpress redirect us after editing a post. Now it’s like Blogger

- Some how there are so many dump files on my server. the file name are in this format: core.XXXX where XXXX is a random number which I really have no idea what they are referring to.It would be ok if the dump files are small, but each file has at least 70MB and there are about 20 - 30 new dump files everyday
I even have to set a cron job to automatically delete those files daily, I am not sure if this is a Wordpress fail, but I have this experience after I upgraded the blog to the latest version. So who should I blame on?
- The Custom Fields often fails. If I add more then 1 custom field, then it’s often that only 1 field successfully saved. the others? just gone
- The WP-Grin wordpress plugin doesn’t work anymore on the Post Editing page. But it’s still working on the front page.
That’s it for today, i will add new points later if I got one.
Why I don’t list the good things? There are so many good things about it, and you can find them on Wordpress Features Page here and here.
