As I have mentioned before that increasing feed readers count is so easy if we have already had a big number. But what if we don’t have it yet? How to easily increase our feed readers count? Here on this article, I will give you 7 tricks to increase our feed readers count.

Lucky for us, there are many big blog with thousands of feed readers out there we can learn of. So here I will put some big blogs with many feed readers as an example.

1. Use a welcome text, and put it on top inside of your post content.

weblogtoolscollection.com has about 8k feedreaders, and they use this trick.

Thanks for visiting! If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. This blog posts regular Wordpress news, updates of themes, plugins, ideas, hacks, quick fixes and everything about blogging, especially with Wordpress. Go ahead, subscribe to our feed!

Be creative, you can modify some words with your own.

2. Ask reader to subscribe after they read your article on each post footer.

this seems to be the most popular trick, almost all bloggers use this on their blog.

If you like this post then please consider subscribing to my full feed RSS. You can also subscribe by Email and have new posts sent directly to your inbox.

3. Make a list.

Seems everybody love a list. so why not provide them one or two or hundreds?

There are so many sites getting bigger because they create lists, and people just love list. so why don’t you create your own? weblogtoolscollection.com, makeuseof.com, 45n5.com.

And did you realize that I write this article as a list too? :)

4. Provide an easy way for your reader to subscribe.

jackbook.com feed

Darren Rowse of problogger.net provides the email form too on his blog. Here are some of the most popular feed reader online on the web (listed by TechCrunch).

5. Make a useful product for your readers.

Yaro Starak, John Chow and many people have been doing this. and seems it works pretty well. Are you complaining that this example I give you here is not to increase feed readers counter? But to promote their ebooks? On this example, you’re right, John and Yaro Starak doing this not to increase their feed reader count, but you can be creative with this technique to promote your own feed reader can’t you?

make a product

6. Run a Subscribe To Win contest.

Like what WTB is doing right now, you can run a contest and give prize for people who subscribed to your feed. By doing this, people will get attracted to subscribe.

JohnChow and Shoemoney feed competition
was probably the biggest contest ever about feed subscription. John pull more then 4,000 feed readers in a month, while Shoe get more then 7,000. Unfortunately, this kind of subscribers will only subscribe for the price only. Once the contest is over, they are just stop reading on your feed. Look at Shoemoney Feed Chicklet, now he has “only” about 13k feed readers, while he had about more then 21k when the contest was still running.

7. And the last, Provide an email subscription above your post.

I do this on my blog, and look at my feedburner chicklet now, it has about 500 readers there, while it was just about 241 readers a month ago.

email subscription above post

Of course all of this trick won’t work if you have nothing useful to offer to your readers. You should push your self to create more valuable contents so your readers will keep subscribing to your feed, even if you don’t apply any of this tricks at all.

So what about you? Do you have your own trick that I haven’t listed here? Share it with us on the comment form below.

I have already pointed it out. I want to use wordpress but I can’t. I do not have enough money to pay for the monthly hosting fee. If I get paid with my get paid to click sites that is one of my 1st projects. I really am planning to convert my blog to something else like source of blogging tips and other affiliate programs but I need to start on something. Get paid to click sites is the only way that I could find so I just have to do this before proceeding to my real passion. :)

First I want to thank you for commenting at my blog :) The download link is pointing to an exe file because the ebook is created in exe. You know ebooks can be created in pdf or exe file and the one is an exe. It doesn’t contains viruses because I readied it and scanned too with a anti virus  . You asked how many subscribers I have too :?: Right now I have about 21 or more (my blog is brand new) but my goal is not to reach 1k or to make money  I blog about fun and this is my first blog :!: BTW I am glad to meet some good bloggers like you, Midwest, Carl Ocab and talk to you - You really help me  Ok you now think I am boarding… bla, bla, bla… I need to ask you something about your template  Moneymakerboy.com is using your template and it has created pages (about, advertise, rss…) and I need to know how can I do this. I want to use three column apple for my new blog and I need help creating those pages. I asked Midwest and he told me that he doesn’t know html and that I should ask someone how does :) I want my template to have those pages as the picture under futured template. I believe that you can help me (You have experience creating those templates) and I would like some answer… Maybe you can create a post about how to add pages in blogger or send me an email at mar4e@yahoo.com Expecting answer from you soon

Cheers.

about your ebook,
yes, i use to see an ebook as a pdf. that is more trustable for me, it would be cool if you could make it to pdf, i’m sure you will have more people download your ebooks, if you made it as pdf. imho

about pages on moneymakerboy.com, actually, if you have installed the template, you will be automatically able to create those pages, since all you need to do is just point the link to your contact-us post, or about us post, or etc.

thanks

Jack, how do you put up the ’subscribe via email’ thing at the top of each post?

1. login to your feedburner account
2. get the html code
3. put it on top of your post (you can put it on a widget, or directly inside the html code)
4. save it and done
thanks
