As you see on this site, that our page title is swapped between the blog title and the post title. How to do that on blogger? here is the instruction, read it carefully!

Update: Oh how could i forget about why is it important to swap the blog title and the post title
Doing this is important because our page will have a better value on Search Engine if each page has unique page title. And we can’t have that on the default blogger set because on the default set, the title would be contain of blog title first followed by the post title.
This can be easily done on classic blogger, but so long i have never found any hack about this for the new blogger. so here it is.
Please backup your original template first, in case you can’t get it work.
1. First, you need to go to your Dashboard -> Setting -> Basic.
Change your blog title with “-”
see screenshot.
Save your setting.
2. Now go to your template editor, Tick the Expand Widget Template
find this code below
<b:widget id=’Header1′ locked=’true’ title=’Default Blogger Template (Header)’ type=’Header’>
find all this code: <data:title/> under this widget, and replace it with YOUR BLOG TITLE.
3. Now, Find this code below:
<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>
Replace it with this code below
<title>
<b:if cond=’data:blog.pageType != “item”‘>
YOUR BLOG TITLE HERE
<b:else/>
<data:blog.pageTitle/> - YOUR BLOG TITLE HERE
</b:if>
</title>
Save your template and done! Now all you need to do is just fill your post title with rich keyword so you will get more traffic

But I have a question: Why a get a “:” after the “-”. I dont write any “:” but all my post titles are now:

Example:

yes, the “:” is automatically inserted by blogger engine.
that’s why i replace the blog title with a dash “-”.
“-:” looks better then just a “:” i think
When I try this…………………….

instead of

doubledash must be double.

Hey Jack! Is it possible to put a space (or not to display the dash) rather than “-” as the blog title?
unfortunately we can’t.
blogger requires at least a single character as our blog title.
i have once tried to leave it blank before, and it failed
jack what is the advantage of star rating in wow templates?
I have been able to put as the Blog Title, which is an html space. The post title’s now all start out ” : Name of Post” so you get a space then a colon then another space. I wish Blogger would fix this. Thanks!
Note: Maybe there is an html character that represents a Null value that Blogger will accept, just a thought?

Actually you can just don’t do step #3, and see how it goes.
your blog title would be now replaced by a dash “-” right?
now you have to modify your header widget, so instead of showing a dash “-”, it will show your header title.
go to expand your widget template, then all data title inside of the header widget (which is now should contain of a dash) replace it with YOUR BLOG TITLE.

No can do, Jack. I got ‘No Parse’ notice when I tried to save it.
FYI, before your post I read about it here, ‘Changing Blogger Title Tag. But after saving it, I can’t get ‘page element’ to work. So, I deleted it until I came to this post.
Any idea why I can’t save it, Jack?

No mate, I am using your pink 3-column template and the code is different. I sorta got it going using the “title-wrapper” section, but that changed the colour of the TITLE and the TITLE only appears on the individual post pages.
I probably need to add the title somewhere else to get it to show on the front-page, but I thought I’d get your advice first.
