Salmon - Blue Blogger Template [updated].
Happy Friday! As promised that we will give you a fresh new blogger template every Friday, now we are proud to introduce you to jackbook.com new beautiful blogger templates, here it is.
You can view the demo site here or you can also view the screenshot below.

This beautiful template is originally a wordpress theme created by Justin Shattuck. I love this template because this template has so many features on it.
On this template, you will have a horizontal header menu on the top left. there you can fill it with your other sites or your affiliate links if you had one.
Then under the header, you have another horizontal menu. here you can fill it with your home link, contact us link, about us etc.
Next to the horizontal menu, you can set your own feed links there. so catchy isn’t it?
Each of the post date is also already customized, so you will have non standard date format of blogger template post timestamp. but you have to remember that the date will disappear if you don’t set your post timestamp with a right format. please read this instruction to set the post timestamp here.
Next you will also get a really nice comment list. see on the demo, or on the screenshot above.
At the bottom you will also get 3 columns area you can fill it with anything you think is important. you can put there your featured posts list or your most popular posts list. then you can even put your recent post, or anything.
You can even put your ads there.
This template is so widgetized. so if you want to install this template, you have to carefully read all the steps below, and give more attention here.
This template require 8 HTML widgets.

Rome @ Jackbook
this is nice template jack..
can put adsense 300×250 on the side bar. perfect fitted… looks like ads is our content..
First, I want to thank you for porting the theme over to blogger. I enjoyed seeing this in my mint statistics today and honestly, I am obliged that you took the time to port it and fix a few of the errors currently in the documents associated with it. Second, thank you very much for leaving my initial link in tact. I am very grateful. So many people rip my designs, themes and plugins and neglect to credit me for the original code and design.
Thank you sincerely, great individual! Kudos!
too good… love it
hai jack. this is very beautiful template. Can you tell me how to make the date format like that? please give me tutorial about that. thanks jack.
Thank you very much for converting this great theme! It looks wonderful in Firefox, but the right sidebar appears under the posts in Internet Explorer 6. Is there a way to fix this?
Jack,
Viewed in Internet explorer and the sidebar screwed up. Instead on the right it’s at the bottom. Same goes for the search box, It covers the Search Text hence blocking it. As For Firefox everything is perfect.
#S and #mr. simplicity
guys, what is your ie version? sorry i have ie7 only here. i have fixed it for ie7. but for ie6, if it is your version, please check the demo site. does it look ok now?
if so, i will update the post now with a new version of 1.1
thanks

wounderfull template …
One question:
On the old blogger version it was possible tu use the commander: >> Read more …>> so that just a some lines of the article were visible on the blog.
Now with the BETA verion of blogger it’s seem impossible to do this. It’s true or not.
If we want to do like u a:
i cannot put HTML 4 properly.nothing show up
Thanks Jack, for the template, I just love it. I was late for commenting as i had gone out of station due to some work. BTW this template rocks!!
Jack, sweet template and one I really want to use, but each time I install it I end up with two HTML 1 widgets and it affects the search widget.
Any ideas, why?
Hi there jack!
Im having problems with the topmenu. I didnt read it first before installing it. Must have been the excitement of having a great new template.
Forgive me master. .

Help me out please. . . .
Yes, at least I think I have.
By the way, I am using your pink template (your link is in the left-sidebar)…
But this salmon template looks a bit messy in the blogspot panel. The horizontal menu below the header is difficult to access and the RSS feed widget intrudes on the Adsense widget.
http://plastic-surgeries.blogspot.com/ is the test-blog I am using.
Jack, I got it going on another test template
http://schoolloanz.blogspot.com/
One of my main problems was accessing the widgets because they were all jumbled and some where hidden. I figured out a way which may have been obvious but it wasn’t to me unti a few minutes ago. If you think others may or have had that problem, leave a comment here and I’ll email you what I did.
Thanks for the template, now I gotta figure out how to increase width, change main colours etc, lol.
hai Jack,
the template is very very good..can you make a 3 column version for the samw..thanks in advance..waiting for the three column template… i want to use it on my site http://www.samratjobs.com
bye
Jack, I fell upon your template here and have set it up for my blog, as well. Love the design, colors, and added functionality of it all. It’s working great!
Thanks for letting us all try it out!
Regards -
Matthew
Jack,
Great template. But, seems to have some problem.
(1) I am unable to see my description in the header just below the blog title.
(2) The header font size seems to look different in IE and Firefox.
(3) The first row of the Adsense ad in the sidebar is hidden by the RSS button.
While it looks fine with Firefox, IE seems to be not happy with many elements. Thanks.
Hi, Jack.. I’m using your blue salmon template.. it looks good, but the navigation bar’s not shown.. it makes kind a difficult to customize.. How can I make the navbar to show?.. Please help.. thanks.
I can’t paste the HTML3 code.. it always say, “Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: Element type “input” must be followed by either attribute specifications, “>” or “/>”.”.. what should I do? pls help.. thanks
Jane,
Editing the file in Blogspot is sorta messy, but I found a work-around that seems to work. When logged into your account at Blogspot and at your Dashboard, select “Manage -> Layout”. Here, it will bring up the Page Elements page with the template in graphical form. You can edit page elements and widgets here. Again, it’s a little messy. For instance, the “Main Menu” that features the tabs is hidden behind the “Blog Posts” element. If you look closely you can see a portion of the “Main Menu” element in far left. Click and drag this above the “Blog Posts” element, then click on “Edit.” Here, you can edit what tabs you want to appear in your template. Once you’re happy with what you have, select “Save Changes.” Back at your Page Elements click on the “Clear Edits” button at the top and it will return the “Main Menu” element back to where it was before (behind the “Blog Posts” element).
I’m not sure why the Blogspot layout manager doesn’t align things correctly, but this will work!
To get the Search Menu to work, scroll to the right to show the “Search Menu” element. Click on “Edit” and insert the following code:
Click on “Save Changes” and this should add the search function to the template.
As far as pasting the code and the errors, if you’re still getting them, you may want to re-upload the XML file that Jack provided, then perform the steps above.
Good luck!
- Matt
I apologize, but I see the code for the search widget didn’t post - I didn’t think it would, but I tried.
Shoot me an e-mail, and I can send you the appropriate code.

Hi!
This template is awesome. I tried it and it worked fine.
It would be great if you do a dark theme (black and grey) instead of blue and salmon.

Jack,I wanna ask question about the Update V.1.0 what I should do>?
Jack, I had followed the instruction about how to add the backgroud header but the header background can’t display.Although I had reduce its size still can’t display. Help me Jack.By the way I use Blue Salmon template.
Hi Jack.
Firstly thanks for providing this template for blogger, it really does look very good.
However, have spent two days trying to install it. I have followed all the instructions.
Set up the 8 widgets with the html as laid out in the document. I have also uploaded all the images and the .css files for the different broswers and changed all references from your googlepages site to mine.
I am using betablogger, which i assume is the correct one to use, as i tried using my standard account and the result was even worse. Basically the horizontal HTML1 and HTML2 menus have dissapeared entirely, they do not appear either in the page or in the page editing, HTML3 the search box appears to the left of the page, and not to the right, the google ads box is pushed up north somewhere and it looks nothing like what it should. I have tried it so many times i really have no idea what may be going wrong. Would it be possible for you to help with installation thanks. I am trying to use the template at http://diabetesrecipes4kids.blogspot.com/
Thanks very much for your time.
ps any possibility of this template being made into three columns?
Cheers
