Important Notes to Install this blogger template,
1. on the header / top upper right, you’ll see an upper menu. that is an HTML/Javascript Widget.
to have the menu installed, you need to have your menu listed on this structure below;

<ul><li><a href="Your Menu Link Here">Your Menu Here</a></li><li><a href="Your Menu Link Here">Your Menu Here</a></li><li><a href="Your Menu Link Here">Your Menu Here</a></li></ul>

this is the content of the widget installed on the demo site.

<ul><li><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/Lifewg">Full Rss Feed</a></li><li><a href="http://www.jackbook.com/2007/08/i-saw-beautiful-website-could-you.html">About Us</a></li><li><a href="http://likesimon.com/contact-me/">Contact Us</a></li><li><a href="http://www.jackbook.com/">Home</a></li></ul>

2. The Feed Icon and Search Box on the right is an HTML/JAVASCRIPT widget element.
This is the content.

<h2>Subscribe</h2>

<div id="rss"><a href="#yourRssFeedHere" title="Syndicate this site using RSS"></a></div>

<div id="searchdiv"><form id="searchform" action="http://YOUR-BLOG-NAME.blogspot.com/search” method=”get”><input id=”s” maxlength=”255″ name=”q” size=”15″ type=”text”/><input alt=”Go” value=”Go” name=”button” type=”submit”/></form></div>

change the YOUR-BLOG-NAME with your own blog name.

3. The recent posts on the right is a Feed Widget Element.
You can change it with your own feed url, or you can have the recent post and recent comment for blogger simple hack here.

Update: New Added
4. Post Date on blogger template.
You need to make sure that the post timestamp on your blog is set rite like this

Monday, August 27, 2007

Here is the step
- First Go to your Dashboard — Settings — Formatting
- there you should see Timestamp Format selector there.
choose the format as it’s shown above.

- Save Setting, Refresh your blog and Done.

Update, just added

How to change the image header?

1. Download http://jackbook1.googlepages.com/mushblue_style.css file
2. open the file with notepad, or any html editor you familiar with.
3. find this code below

background: url('http://jackbook1.googlepages.com/mushblue_r.jpg') no-repeat;

http://jackbook1.googlepages.com/mushblue_r.jpgthat is your current image header. change that url with your own image url.save the file.

then upload it somewhere. (i recommend to upload it on your googlepages, it’s easy to upload there)

4. go to your blog, dashboard–template–edit html5. find this line

<link href='http://jackbook1.googlepages.com/mushblue_style.css' media='screen' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'/>

http://jackbook1.googlepages.com/mushblue_style.css

that is your current css.

replace that with your new css, and then
6. save your template, refresh your blog and done.
thanks

Hi

Firstly just want to say thanks for the superb job you doing! The Templates look great!

However I am having the same problem as alekos - my date also does not display. I have tried changing the timestamp format and the date header format to what you have mentioned, but it still does not work!

Is there anyway to fix this, or can i tweak the CSS code?

Please Help!
Thanks

I guess. just like another blogger. you haven’t read all the installation instruction here
.

Please note that all of our templates images are hosted on my googlepages account. and you have to know that our templates have been used by so many bloggers outhere. so my googlepages account always exceeds it’s bandwith limit almost every day. that’s why i always encourage my readers to host all the images on their own file host or their own googlepages. now have you hosted all the images on your own googlepages? or your own file hots? if not, please follow the instruction here about to
host all the images to your own host.

If your date doesn’t show up. please read here
how to set the correct date format
.

if you still have problem, please mail me anytime, i will try my best to help you.

Thanks

Emil, you should download the template from here instead. It’s the same template Jack made but the images and css are working fine. The images are hosted externally so you won’t see the “Google pages limited bandwidth” error anymore and the css is embedded into the template.

Also, the ‘Archive’ does not list properly as a hierarchy as i would like it to.

Thank you in advance for your help. I am hoping I am not one of the people that didn’t read and do everything. I have hosted images and changed the timestamp .

Here are the problems I am having:

1) In the post body, Althought I have changed this via Page Elements, it never shows “posted by The Faleys at [insert date and time]”. Instead, it just says “by the faleys” at the top and the comments are to the left at the end of the post. I can’t seem to figure out how to fix this.
2) Archives: Via page elements, I have choses “hierarchy”, “show post titles” and “monthly”, but when I click on the archive, it just shows all of the posts for 2007.
3) I can not change the fonts and colors.

hi!

great template, but we would need some minor help to adjust it a bit ..

1) we use a longer blog-title which gets above the graphics on top of the page. it looks good when using here and there, but it’s only possible when you put tags in Bloggers global title settings, which messes up how RSS feeds look like, etc ..

We would like to write our own string if possible, to use as the blog “title” on top of the page, instead of being locked to Blogger settings. How do we do this?

2) We now host our own images and it works well, buw we’ve also noticed a “mushblue_comments.gif” image that would be really cool to put to the left of the comments counter on the blog post.

3) It would also be nice to show all the comments directly beneath our posts, instead of popups or other sites. A form for comments on the page would be great aswell.

4) And at last, how do we remove/change color of the white box around the images?

Thanks for your answers in advance and kindest regards!
