I love this template because this looks clean. so if you’re using blogspot, and still using a default theme for your blog. go hurry download from the link below:

For you Blogger Users;

Download Fresh Blogger Template Version 1.0

Downloaded a total of 4408 times

Please read the instruction on installing this template and the update down there.

For you Wordpress Users;

FRESH WORDPRESS THEME
DOWNLOAD HERE

Default Version:
You can have the default version, just by editing one line on the css.
here is the how to:

For Fresh Wordpress Theme:

1. Go to your Theme Editor under Presentation menu on your Wordpress Dashboard
2. Edit the Style Sheet (or you can manually open the style.css file with your notepad)
3. Find this code below:

background: url(http://fresh.lifewg.googlepages.com/bg2.gif);/*Uncomment this below to have the default look, with a blue background*//*background: #0d297a url(http://fresh.lifewg.googlepages.com/bg.gif) repeat-y top center;*/

4. Follow the instruction, Uncomment the second line. or you can just replace all that code above with this code below:

background: #0d297a url(http://fresh.lifewg.googlepages.com/bg.gif) repeat-y top center;

5. Click Update File Button to save the file
6. Refresh your blog. Done

For Blogger Template, it’s so much easier:

1. Just go to your HTML Editor,
2. Find this code below:

background: url(http://fresh.lifewg.googlepages.com/bg2.gif);/*Uncomment this below to have the default look, with a blue background*//*background: #0d297a url(http://fresh.lifewg.googlepages.com/bg.gif) repeat-y top center;*/

3. Follow the instruction, Uncomment the second line. or you can just replace all that code above with this code below:

background: #0d297a url(http://fresh.lifewg.googlepages.com/bg.gif) repeat-y top center;

4. Click Save Template
5. Refresh your blog, and done

What should do next after you upload this theme?

For Wordpress User, You need to do nothing, everthing should already work good for you.

For bloggers, you need to add your upper menu by your self.
Here is how to do it;
1. Go to your Page Elements
2. There you’see a widget titled : Your Upper Menu Here
3. Add this code below:

<ul class="menu"><li class="page_item"><a href="http://freshbloggertemplate.blogspot.com/">Home</a></li><li class="page_item"><a href="http://www.jackbook.com/2007/03/about-lifewg.html">About Us</a></li><li class="page_item"><a href="http://likesimon.com/contact-me/">Contact Us</a></li></ul>

Of course you can edit the link as you desired.
and you can also add another menu, just add more li with class page_item after the last item.

for example, you can add this to the bottom line, inside the <ul> tag:

<li class="page_item"><a href="http://yourlink.com/yourlink.html">Your New Menu</a></li>

4. Save Widget changes.
5. Click Save Button
6. Refresh your blog. and done!

Congratulation with your new look,
Please leave your comments here if you have any questions.

Update:

Here is a bux fixed, submitted by ParrotHead (thanks)

FWIW I figured out the fix to that IE issue I mentioned in my previous comments (where the bottom bar would float up the page on an individual post page.)

I found this snippet of code:

#bottom {
clear: both;
float: left !important;
float: none;
width: 855px;
height: 100%;

And I simply changed the second float attribute to ‘bottom’:

#bottom {
clear: both;
float: left !important;
float: bottom;
width: 855px;
height: 100%;

Hope that helps. It seems to work fine in both IE and FF now. Thanks again for the great template.

a little new added:
a message by our finance donor. thanks

oh it’s depends on your setting under your widgets elements manager.
or you can also try to remove it, and then add a new one. there you can choose the type of how it looks.
thanks

Love this template. Thanks so much!

One quick question though. Is there any way to fix the IE issue with the ‘bottom’ bar (the one where you had Recent Posts, Recent Comments, and Tags in the demo) from floating up to the bottom of the blog entry on individual post pages? In IE, whenever the blog post is shorter than the sidebar content that bottom bar jumps up to the end of the blog post and overlays the sidebar content which continues to roll underneath it.

I use FF so I didn’t even notice it until somebody coming into a post page from my feed pointed it out to me.

Sorry if this is a doublepost, but I didn’t see anything saying the comment had been sent to moderation.

I love this template, but is there any way to fix the ‘bottom’ bar floating up to the end of the blog post on individual post pages in IE? If the sidebar content is longer than the post on an individual post page, the bottom bar will float up to the end of the blog post and overlay the sidebar content which continues to flow underneath. Using FF I never even noticed this until someone coming in off my blog’s feed pointed it out to me.

Thanks for any help!

Jack, I love this template, but can’t seem to get it to work in Blogger. I get the following error:

Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The document type declaration for root element type “html” must end with ‘>’.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Awesome template! I think this is a great start to my new Blog!!! There were a few questions I have (they’re probably basic) but I’m not sure how to address each. Any help you could provide would be great. Thanks a ton in advance!

1. I’m having a hard time producing a feed for the site. I’ve visited FeedBurner and Feedvalidator.org and can’t seem to generate a feed. I’m using Blogger and it didn’t create a feed for me to use either.

2. Is there a way to create Categories using this template. I’m writing blogs on Business, Finance, and Technology. It would be helpful to categorize each blog.

Comment by Jack
2007-11-26 14:17:12

I. To burn your blogger feed to feedburner is easy. just follow this steps
1. http://Your-Blog-Here.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default (this is your blogger feed url)
2. paste the feed url above on the text box on feedburner site
3. follow the instruction there and done.
if you still have problem with this, i’ll try to create the tutorial post later. thanks

II. Categories in blogger is labels.
so to have this categories on your blog on any tempate just
1. go to your page element panel under your blogger dashboard.
2. click on the Add Elements
3. find labels.
4. follow the simple instuction and done.

now to set your post categories, just write your post as usual, and then under the post content, there is a label text box, type your categories there. separate each categories by comma (”,”) and done.

hope it helps
thanks

Hi dude,
seems you have mis-edited your template.
please check your template again. this is what i found on your source code.

<!– uncomment below if you want to have another option –>
<!–
<b:section id=’footerwz’ showaddelement=’no’>
<b:widget id=’footer1′ locked=’false’ title=’A 100 TEST (Header)’ type=’Header’>
<b:includable id=’main’>
<a class="validate" href="#thetop" title="back to top">&#169; 2007 <data:title/></a> | <a href="#thetop" title="back to top"><data:description/></a>
</b:includable>
</b:widget>
</b:section>

–>

Why does the top bar, green bars and you logos (at the bottom) dissapear from time to time…Is it something on google blogger side or what? I’ve checked if this happens to you demo version aswell and indeed it does. It’s really annoying. Any ideas.
